Desiccated Coconut - Low Fat
Desiccated Coconut (DC) is produced from matured coconuts and the white coconut meat is granulated into various desired cuts and is available as Fine and Medium grades
A good quality DC should be white in color, free from yellow specks, black spots and other discolorations. It should have the natural sweet aroma of coconut, mild characteristic of coconut without rancid and even particle size distribution.

Fine Grade - Low Fat
This is grated desiccated coconut of which not less than 80% of the weight shall pass easily through a sieve of square aperture size of 1.40 mm, but of which maximum 20% of the weight passes through a sieve of 0.71 mm square aperture size.
- Colour : White, reasonably free from yellow and other discoloration.
- Flavour : Mild, fresh and characteristics of coconut with no-off odor.
- Size : Fine powder.
- Taste : Fresh Coconut

Medium Grade - Desiccated Coconut
This is grated desiccated coconut of which not less than 90% of the weight shall pass easily through a sieve of square aperture size of 2.80 mm, but of which maximum 20% of the weight passes through a sieve of 1.40 mm square aperture size.
- Colour : White, reasonably free from yellow and other discoloration.
- Flavour : Mild characteristic of coconut with no off flavour.
- Size : Fine granules of coconut.
- Impurities : Not more than 8 pcs/100 gr sample

Packing and Storage
Desiccated Coconut is packed in multi-ply kraft paper bags with inner sealed polythene to keep away from the atmosphere’s moisture. Desiccated Coconuts are packed in 10 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg or 50kg as per buyer’s packing requirements. Desiccated Coconut shall be stored in cool and dry place. Direct sunlight and strong odor should be completely avoided.
